Outsourced is a solo exhibition by fiber artist Susan Allred that ccombines cocoon works from The Cocoon Index, a social engagement art project about emotional labor and works made from her personal experience.

The exhibition features pieces created in workshops where makers brought objects tied to care, memory, or weight, wrapped them in laceweight yarn, and embroidered them into cocoons. Visitors explore each artwork and read the maker narratives that accompany every cocoon. Outsourced makes emotional labor visible through textile art, inviting reflection on what we carry, protect, and transform.

Presented by The Eye Lounge Collective at Modified Arts, the exhibition invites viewers to consider what is held, protected, and transformed.
